Saw that u r reading LEE CHILD's Worth Dying For at the moment. I have seen Lee Child dominating the Kolkata Bookstores for a while now. Do tell me if the author is worth reading...or anything specific whatsoever you may have liked.
Thanx Bhavin. Will certainly reco u, the moment i come across any novel find. Meanwhile m reading the 2nd book of the Century Trilogy by Ken Follett. Its simply outstanding the way he blends in fiction with the real world events. The first book "Fall of Giants" deal with the World War I and the second one, that m reading now, "Winter of the World" deals with World War II. The third book, which isn't out out as yet (will release in 2013) is deemed to be on the Cold War.
I, having studied under West Bengal board all my school life was never introduced to even a snippet of World History. So, the books by Ken Follett has opened me to a new world of global history all together, and m immensely thrilled and fascinated. Though both the books are mammoth tomes, yet page turners. History has never been such fun to read.
Have you read India's ONLY military fiction writer - Mukul Deva. If not, you must read his book series on terrorism.
Hope to hear some recos from u too. Happy reading till then :)
Thanx for replying Bhavin,
Two Lives is marvelous... superb style of writing by my favourite Indian author Vikram Seth. Its a novelty to read the autobio of two literally unknown non-celebs, the grand-uncle and grand-aunt of Vikram Seth. Its worth a leisurely read...u must savor every word of the book. In fact the vocabulary as usual is amazing n rich.
Good choices on ur shelf. Saw IDENTITY & VIOLENCE on ur reading list. U must read that. Being a domicile of Gujarat, u will understand n process it much better than me. It will give u a lot of insights into the causes of friction between communities.
Yes I concur, that this is a good platform to interact with readers and plan your your reading. Thanks a lot for connecting with me. :) I was just curious about the books and genres you read.
What I could understand from your shelf is that you love to read books related to Management. Also you mostly read inspiring and motivational books :) And also maybe yours is love marriage. :)
