I love books (obviously). I always have a book with a work, school, appointments. I usually have one on my nightstand I read before bed -- this is usually a self-help or spiritual type book. On occasion, if I'm reading a really good book I'll bring that to bed and read. I enjoy many types of books -- history, spiritual, current events, romance,...more »

More exciting news at the Suspense & Thrillers Group…as you might already know that Keith Katsikas, author of “2060: The Newton Prophecies” will be leading a discussion on his book. We don’t have a date set up yet, but will in a couple of weeks.

In the meantime, Amanda Stevens, author of THE DOLLMAKER, has also agreed to lead the discussion for May’s Group Read, which is THE DOLLMAKER. I’m really excited as this is something new and might become a new trend with our group discussions. If you’ve already read the book, come join us. If not, see if you can grab a copy. There’s still time as the discussion won’t begin until the first week of May.

Dear Bgita: I wish I were your cat at the moment. I am working an overnight shift, however, and will be up all night. I am an author. My debut novel, HUNTING THE KING, is coming out in April. I hope you don't mind my telling you about it. This is what keeps me awake during the night.
HUNTING THE KING is a fast-paced page-turner that follows archaeologist Molly O’Dwyer into war torn Iraq in search of the remains of Jesus. ForeWord Magazine says: “Fans of intellectual thrillers and historical fiction will find a worthy new voice in Clenott. His best invention may be Molly O’Dwyer, a genuinely likeable heroine who more than holds her own in a man’s world. An ambitious scientist, she is also an observant Catholic whose heart and mind don’t always agree. Given such an auspicious start, the sequel can’t come too soon.”

To get a good sense of how powerful the book is, check out the heartpounding booktrailer on YouTube or on my web site at www.peterclenott.com. It is like watching a preview for an exciting movie. The novel is equally exciting, and I hope you will look for it. While it isn’t out until April, you can find it on Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and Kunati Books. I hope you’ll take a look. And let me know what you think. Your response tells me if I am reaching the right readers. Thanks. Peter

Don't be jealous hun. Keith Urban is just a man like any other man only SEXIER :)

Seriously, it was a wonderful experience to meet him as I do love his music, but he is just like my hubby, brother, or any other man in my family....a real down to earth guy :)

I did enjoy reading Wicked. I have never seen the play though, although I want to. I live in the southwest part of Cicero.

I am not a military fan at all. My favourite historical period is the Elizabethan Golden era. Shakespeare, Raleigh, Drake etc.

Hi bgita. I wasn't able to finish Wideacre. I normally like Philippa Gregory's work so I was surprised I had such a negative reaction to Wideacre. My problem was that I disliked the main character so much i just didn't want to know what happened. That said, I would recommend Gregory's other books, especially The Other Boleyn Girl.

Hi bgita- Thanks for the friend request. Yes, I think we do seem to be a pretty big group of animal lovers as well as book lovers. You sure have a beautiful cat. Your cat looks kind of like my Cupcake. My favorite chick lit of all time is Time Off For Good Behavior by Lani Diane Rich. If you like something funny and a quick read, it's a great book. I laughed through the whole thing!

Wow a beauty of a cat. I notices that you have the Bonesetters daughter on your shelf. Did you like it, I have tried to read it before and had a hard time with it. I think I should try again
