Hello Beverly. I read just about anything. As you know, I read and review for independant and small press authors. I am a retired (medical) Library Director and missed having books to read, so I got the idea of reading and reviewing books. I will be adding more of the books I have read in the next few days. Two of them will be Caves, Cannons and Crinolines and Just Breeze. I really enjoyed both of them.

Hello BeverlyJean from Tom&Joe Staten Island, NYC. Glad to "meet" another writer. I know several, but one in particular may interest you: my high school (a long time ago) chemistry teacher was Paul Zindel, another author of books for the youth, most notably Pig Man, and The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Marigolds. Are you familiar with his work?

Yikes!!!!!!!! 14 degrees !!!!! It was cold here too but not that cold - I was suffering at around 32 but you were truly suffering. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and I send best wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year. ( And for more warmth) Hey - I ordered Rebel last weekend. It said 5 weeks so I am anxiously waiting. Bet it comes sooner though. Will let you know when I get it. Hope your weather is warmer - we just got a 2nd cold front yesterday but not as bad as the last one - we went from upper 70's to mid 50's in a matter of a few hours. I was out cutting the grass when it came through and I had just finished and was getting off of the lawn tractor when I was hit by the first blast of cold air. And I was in shorts. I had to shiver as I hosed the grass and dirt off of the tractor before putting it away but it is suppose to be back to 60's and low 70's in a day or two. Crazy weather - typical Texas though - if you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes. Take care Pattie

Hi Bev - Thanks for adding Shabang's Story to your bookshelf. Glad you enjoyed it . We are suppose to get nice springtime weather ( low to mid 70's ) here in Houston or Christmas. I hope you get good weather in your area of Texas too. But it sure is getting cold out there today. Gotta love those Texas Blue Northers. Have a very Merry Christmas - Pattie

Yes, I agree with you. The Host is a good read. I think you will be pleased with the ending, too.

I read Twilight this month, and LOVED IT!
