Sonja M

Sonja M

I'm an instructor at a large Midwestern community college in the U.S. and very interested in women's studies (I teach an introductory course). As much as possible, I relish hours spent up at my 'treehouse' studio, where I enjoy collage, hooking wool rugs, drawing, writing, reading...and dreaming!

Oh, London is a great place to visit, and a terrible place to live -- expensive, polluted, with more racism and anti-Semitism than is ever reported, and with little of it coming from the aboriginal population, sadly. On the other hand, it is wonderful to be able to meet people from literally every country in the world, and eat their food, within a few square miles! Certainly worth a vist if you can find a decent hotel at a reasonable price!

Hello Sonja. I`ll tell you somthing about me. I live in a house in OSLO and i am married and have two boys, a dog and a cat. I`m a nature theraphist and work with earacupuncture, massage, herbs and nutrition.I like to travel and to be together with people. I was in USA to visit Bear Heart and the Natives in September 2007. I`m very interested in all native culture. I like to read ferytales and about selfprogress. I don`t like very much to write so you must be patient to get some answer. As you can see i have problem with writing correctly, and to talk is also difficult, but i do it anyway. If you want to visit OSLO you are welcome to stay here. After easter i make a guest room with a restroom. I use this room also for klients so it`s also a working room. I wish you a nice easter.
    Best wishes from Bente A.

I've read two books by Kidd and I loke her writing. She has a simple, yet strong style.no doubt she reveals secret corners of women's mind and heart very skilfully. anyway thanks for your recommendation, I'll definitely try it.

hi sonja, nice to hear from you^^. i can't remember 'to kill a mockingbird' very well, it's been years since i read it. but now you mentioned it, i'd love to read it again. sadly my copy is in a cardoard box somewhere in paris...
as far as spanish authors are concerned, i'd recommend javier marias and jordi coca. i found their books quite helpful in getting to know spanish culture. and a french author i quite like is maxence fermine...
are you reading anything good at the moment? i'm reading 'taft' by ann patchett. i really like her style and the way she brings characters to life...
    see you around!

    Hello Sonja
Thank you for the friendship invite. We seem to have a lot of tastes in common. You mention your "treehouse studio" - this phrase evokes images of a fairy tale setting and turns me - inner city dweller without even a tiny garden - green with envy.

    Sonja,

So glad you like my website. At the moment my garden is gorgeous ablaze with crocuses, daffodils, hyacinths and narcissi. A few trees are in flower and there's the promise of tulips.

Thank you for deciding to buy Tangled Hearts. So far every reader whom I know says he or she love it. If you purchase it from amazon or Barnes and Noble I'd be thrilled if you post a review.

At the moment a publishing house I approached wants me to cut 20,000 words from my novel Tangled Lives. At first I thought I couldn't do that but by cutting out a sub-plot it's not too hard, and I can use the sub-plot in another novel. Let's hope that after all my hard work the publisher will accept it,

    All the best,
    Rosemary

Tangled Hearts available from www.enspirenpress.com, amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, barnesandnoble.com and soon in bookshops.

Tangled Hearts is set in the reign of the last Stuart monarch,Queen Anne (1702-1714)and has received five star reviews.

Yes I read that book , but this book made me older because it added more wrinkle on my face in reading it he, he, he. My daughter said: why I feel that I didn't find the title in this book? I thought it will joyful at least at the end, but why I didn't find any happiness for Maryam?" .....
May be this book it too "heavy" for me, but it touched my heart deeply especially when she got a deep disappointed to his father, that she loved soo much also when she found her mother hanged her self. Although I love "walt disney type" story more , but I will find Kite Runner and read it soon
