I'm the author of four books:
My most recent book DREAM REACHERS is hot off the press; it's my first nonfiction book and my first with a co-author. DREAM REACHERS is a magical mix of success stories and interviews with people who have dared to stretch to reach for their dreams. From living legends to legends-in-the-making, the subjects of this book let their imaginations soar. In this book, I shares my experiences as a young journalist when screen idols, like Clint Eastwood and Jane Russell, walked right off the big screen and into my life...for brief, memorable moments. My co-author shares his celebrity interviews with upcoming new talent who are achieving their dreams.
My other three books are fiction:
1106 GRAND BOULEVARD (an epic romantic thriller based on the life of my beautiful older sister); THE TOONIES INVADE SILICON VALLEY (a Young Adult/fantasy adventure/sci-fi/novel that adults are enjoying, too); and MILLENNIUM BABE: THE PROPHECY(a mystery adventure/sweet love story with a touch of supernatural). During a long journalism career, I edited and wrote columns and feature stories for many California newspapers before founding and publishing my own newspaper. I also hosted a Cable TV talk show. I've interviewed such celebrities as Clint Eastwood, Jane Russell, Tanya Tucker, Dale Robertson, and many politicians, including Senator Ted Kennedy, the late Speaker of the U.S. House "Tip" O'Neill, the late UFW Farmworkers President Cesar Chavez, and the late San Francisco Mayor Joe Alioto.
My book THE TOONIES INVADE SILICON VALLEY is coming out in a second printing in a month or two. Also it's being turned into a screenplay by award-winning screenwriter Kitania "Kitty" Kavey. I hope to sell it to a producer when she's finished.
I'm also working on a sequel to TOONIES titled THE TOONIES ROCK NEW YORK and fine-tuning a horror novel, VOICES AT CIRCLE LAKE.
Among my favorite authors are Pat Conroy, Dean Koontz, Chris Platt, Danielle Steel, Christy Tillery French, Victoria Taylor-Murray, Paul Kyriazi, Stephen King, David Meadows, and Mark Laflamme.
I also like being with all my children and my children's children at family celebrations, and shopping/luncheon outings ... writing blogs and E-mailing with my siblings and friends.
I'm an Honorary Kentucky Colonel, a member of Romance Writers of America, TeenLitAuthors.com, a former member of Sigma Delta Chi and in two editions of Who's Who. My current passion is 'Stem Cell Research.' ... My daughter Mindy and I will do anything we can to further this research.
And last, but not least, I also love to TALK and EAT (ask anyone). ... lol ...
