Renee Reeves edited the summary of Lorna R. Vanderhaeghe; Karlene Karst Monday, April 20, 2009.
- I was born in Stuttgart, Germany but raised in the US by my single mother. I am Irish and English on her side and German on my father's. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved to read. My mother, always supportive, made it a point to take me to the library as often as I wished and to get to me to each and every school book fair. I would come home with bags of books and would gobble them up in only a few days. I would sit against my pony’s stomach when she was lying down in the pasture and read a book while she napped. I have had horses all of my life and have shown several different breeds. I currently own 3 horses. One day I would LOVE to own a draft horse and an Andalusian. Reading, along with horses, was and still is one of the great loves in my life and that love turned into a desire to write. I am now married and my husband told me if I wanted to write a book then do it. So I did and am now a published author. I just had my first book, Night Angel, published and it quickly climbed to the bestseller rank on fictionwise and was also on their highest rated list. Reviews have also been very good and www.nightowlromance.com just gave it their TOP PICK award, which is very exciting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! Ladies Break Out the Oven Mitts!, April 4, 2009

Let me start by saying that this is the first time I have felt compelled to write a review after thirty years (I started young, LOL) of reading hundreds of romances from category to erotica. Every four hundred books or so (LOL) you stumble across that little gem of an author that just gets it----they are able to take that HEA and make it feel like it is the first time you have ever read it---NOT an easy thing to do with the plethora of books of this genre floating around. Ms. Reeves has accomplished this in SPADES!
I stumbled on this book out of desperation and was absolutely blown away. I finished over 36 hours ago and it is still lingering. I loved the characters, the emotional pervasivness, the SCORCHING passion. In short, everything about this book is wonderful. Kind of felt like the old Linda Howard's (After the Night) or old Sandra Brown's or more recently, Lora Leigh, Sarah McCarty, and Lisa Marie Rice. Girls, if you enjoy any of these authors you are going to love this book. And did I say it was HOTTTTT?
Brava Ms. Reeves! I wish I could give you ten stars for this book---you deserve it. Keep 'em comin.'

5.0 out of 5 stars Oustanding read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, April 9, 2009

This has to be one of the best and most creative story lines I have read in a long time. Renee Reeves combines a loving relationship into one that has sincerity and all out passion. This kind of theme is missing in so many authors that produce romance today but Reeves captures all the right features in what appears to be here first novel. I love this book from cover to cover and had to read it twice!!. I look forward to what Renee may have to to offer hungry avid romance readers in the months to come. Great Book!!!! Keep them coming!!!!Definately a must read...

Loved this book! It was by turns hot, sad, sweet, and just plain moving. I am not good at reviews and apologize for the shortness of this one. I HIGHLY recommend this book!

Night Angel is a contemporary romance (or romantica, which is a mix of erotic and romance) about an ex-con, Nick Evanoff, who has turned his life around and is now a very successful horsetrainer and also owns a horse sanctuary. He meets Morgan, an abused widow, who has moved to Montana for seclusion and a fresh start and things go from there....;) I am now working on 2 paranormals and hope they will be published also.
Hobbies/Loves--horses, books, watching movies, reading, writing, going to the library, art, exploring old cemetaries(the more old and overgrown, the better), thunderstorms, werewolves, vampires, dragons and any other 'paranormal being' that can be made into a romantic hero.
My life/emotions are in an uproar right now because my mother, who is also my best friend, is fighting advanced cervical cancer. I am her fulltime caregiver and it tears me apart each day because she is a wonderful person and does not deserve this terrible disease. Nobody does.
