Hey, Paul, I could tell you about my journey into books and how I couldn't get into reading as a kid because my parents didn't know what types of books to recommend even though they wanted me to read. So, yes, the books you read to your daughter Count! I could tell you a story about an inner-city kid who told me as a freshman when I taught at a college that Hamlet was the first thing he ever read from beginning to end. Sometimes, you have to take the books as they come to you, when you are ready for them. Michener has a quote to that effect that I really like.
