Benjamin

Benjamin

Ben was forced to read at a very young age, and the experience has granted him years of happy hours in the library. He reads, on average, around 5 books at a time. When overwhelmed with life, he can be found looking for optimism in the children's section of Barnes and Noble or Borders.

Please, Ben... since when have I slept with certification books under my bed? My tastes are much less specific than that. I did finally add some of the paperbacks that I bought at a yard sale to my shelf. I am guessing that they were owned by a housewife, there's a Jackie Collins novel amongst the first set that I've posted. I hope you're doing well!

Thanks for accepting my invite. How did you like Blood diamond? I had a professor in college that did a documentary on Sierra Leone. This looks like an interesting read.

    hi ben
umm.. havent thought much about the movie, actually. ;) i always am disappointed in his movies (as i am in just about any movie after reading the book). his especially, with few exceptions, but most are horrible and just dont do his books justice. i'm just hoping they never want to tackle the dark tower series.. my god, they would absolutely ruin it!
    take care! ;)

I haven't been on this thing for like 9 months! I joined your group. Is it going to help me make an educated decision in the 2008 vote?

    Hi Benjamin,
I saw a book on your shelf about "Farside" I loooove those cartoons! My favorite are always those about cannibals. What does that say about my personality. I shudder to think of it but they crack me up!

So what's this I hear about you possibly wandering around the produce section? Cracking yams? Or was it bruising squash? Stomping gourds? Something violent with vegetables, anyway. Sounds suspicious...

I really liked your profile; it's nice to see there's someone else who enjoys reading "kids' books" on occasion. Also, anyone who's read _A Canticle for Leibowitz_ can't be bad people, as far as I'm concerned. :o)

I do believe some of the promised victual prerequisites were lacking during our last social encounter. *sigh* I'm terribly disappointed. Nonetheless, to demonstrate that I am a gracious and forgiving person, harboring no ill-will in the least, itty-bitty, teeny-tiny form, I shall waive as I fly over your fair city Sunday afternoon. I know, I know, my magnanimity overwhelms even me. ;)
