Hey Jessica,
Just wondering what Girl With A Dragon Tatoo is like. I see you have it 4/5, so you enjoyed it, but really I mean what type of book is it? Drama, mystery, what? I've heard it mentioned often but never what it's actually about.
Hmmm, I see,
that we, have quite a few books in common!
Jas
I would like to link up with U, sometimes, and discuss the books we have in common....If that is indeed, alright with U?
Gotta agree. I tried it for a week and it was just frustrating and ugly. Back here now. ^_^
Hey Jessica, I just joined up to GoodReads and saw you're a member there as well. What do you think of the site? It' OK, but I'm not sure it's as good as Shelfari. Not sure if I'll keep the account there, but I'll play around with it for a while. Anyway, just interested in your thoughts.
Cheers.

hey sorry did not see your note!
i thought Room was good, but i was disappointed at the end,
once they were on the outside i expected something huge to happen
and it never did! but i really liked how it was told! x
Hello Jessica: so far so good thanks, and hope all's well with you too. I tend to find I rate most books a three if I quite like them, four if I like them a lot, and pretty rarely if ever a five. Ones for those I really didn't like. I think there should be an option to say book was abandoned, too, but there doesn't seem to be on here. Happy reading, take care now!
I think it's great, really enjoying it. It might not seem as "sophisticated" as some modern sci-fi novels but when you consider it was really the first proper alien invasion books it's pretty amazing. The story really holds up and while some of the language and referances to 1800's England and leave you confused it's not enough to break the story.
Well, mostly I read fantasy, so adventure is a favorite. But I've also read a few more "human" books that I've enjoyed, such as Jodi Picoult. But the main reason I'm asking is that the stuff you read seems very diffirent to the stuff I do so I'm trying to expose myself to different kinds of books.
Hello Jessica, great to see a familial face here! You'll have to recommend me some books.
I work in a Dymocks store and a girl came in last week raving about it. I'm a couple of chapters in and still unsure about whether it's for me. I'm having a little trouble getting into it so far but I will continue!
Hi, Jessica, you are welcome and thank you for the add. I enjoyed the film Atonement too, and can in my mind's eye years later still see some visually powerful scenes; e.g., by the water fountain and of course, in the library! I like McEwan's writing, with exception maybe of the book about the balloon ride and following obsession, you know the one, Enduring Love I believe it is called. That got on my nerves for some reason.
The Road was indeed bleak and Mortenson did well, as did the boy actor playing his son.
see you, Jay

Oh my god. Girlfriend, you know anal retentive I am and how much I love a good list. I am loving this Shelfari business SICK. I went through all my stray post-its and notes to myself and notes in my phone and added all the books I've been meaning to read. I am now about to TRAWL your list and steal some titles. Love love love. xxx
My mum keeps telling me to read her books, and she has bought me a few over the years but I've never read them lol. I will definitely give The Blind Assassin a try now!
