I just want to say that I am so proud to be a part of this site. It is wonderful that so many people are reading all around the world and that there is a community for us to meet and discuss. I look forward to talking with everyone of you.
I am many things at the moment. I am a student currently finishing up probably one of the longest college careers (with many breaks). I have minored in French, and majored in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies. I would like to someday teach History and Language Arts in 5th- 8th grade. This explains why my list has a lot of middle school literature and history. I love Russian history. I love to read about any book I can get my hands on. I am also a published writer of poetry (published in past issues of magazines and anthologies) and am currently finishing my first novel. I love to discuss books and would love any recommendations for future reading.
I love to learn. That is why I love reading. I have a special spot in my heart for languages. I currently speak English, Spanish, French, am learning Russian, and then have plans to learn Japanese.
I own most of the books on my shelf. My shelf is a way of keeping track of my reading. The rated ones are ones I have read. The unrated ones are either ones I own and am going to read or ones I saw at the bookstore and put on here so I remember to buy them to read.

Girls should work on their brains as much as their bodies (if not more)
You don't have to dress like hooker to be beautiful or sexy
Being smart is sexy as hell
We should all do as much as we can for the environment
We should all do as much as we can to end pain in the world
Real, beautiful women do not have foreign (aka silicone) substances on any part of them
Real women want to look good for their age not look like a teenager
It is cool to be goofy even in public
Knitting is awesome it is great to create something beautiful from a ball of yarn
