Hey Kristal, we've seemed to have lost touch. I finished a book recently, actually two books that I think you will absolutely love. Corrag by Susan Fletcher and Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman. The first is about a 17th century young Irish-Scots woman who is imprisoned for alleged witchcraft and she is befriended by a Protestant minister looking for info about the English's barbaric clan raids. They are both transformed by her storytelling of her life. The 2nd book is about four strong-willed Jewish women who are all outcasts of their respective tribes, 70 c.e., who come together in a mountain top fortress escaping the conquering Romans, also accused of sorcery. Ironic that so many strong woman who understood how to use herbs and birth babies, have been so persecuted against through the eras of history.

Ack! I forgot to come let you know (I just had too many people to let know, I was afraid I'd forget someone!). Canada Post was ordered back to work by the government last Monday. Home delivery started again on Tuesday. I have a book to mail out, but I won't do it till next week, anyway. I wanted to give them a little bit of time to get a little bit caught up. Anyway, you could probably mail that anytime (though I'm not in a hurry for it, either.... I still have plenty to read... ;-) ). Just wanted to let you know. Thanks!

I have offered to help with points if they need me to. I'm not sure if they'll back up to include those points or not. I'll leave it unless they ask. :-)

Yes, I was planning to add the TITTM reviews. I suspect it will be busy, but we'll see how it goes. Thank you for the offer to help! Hopefully you'll also have lots of time to be lazy and spend time outside, too! You probably noticed that I did add the magical realism books to the shelf - last week, I believe.

Yeah, I'm o.k. with waiting on that. Earlier in the week, the strike actually ended up being a lockout by the company, so there is no mail moving at all now. It wasn't too bad with the rotating strikes, but nothing now for a few days. Ah, I am good with a pay it forward. Thanks!

Oh, Kristal! Thank you. I would love to borrow March from you! Just be warned that Canada Post is currently doing a rotating strike. I hope it doesn't end up an all-out strike, but I'll let you decide if you want to wait to mail it till the strike is completely over. Otherwise, it could potentially take longer to get to me (and then back to you later, if the strike is still happening).

I read Little Women, I think in high school. I remember enjoying it (and I really like the movie with Winona Ryder, too!)

Oh no! You sound crazy-busy and having to deal with tornadoes on top of it! Sure, I'm o.k. with you posting your magical realism books to the thread. I understand how sad it is to miss just one tag. I did. :-( And it should have been an easy one! The only one I've missed was contemporary fiction. I was traveling that month, so I usually don't like to take library books, and I don't get nearly as much reading done, anyway, so nothing I read in that month happened to fit! It was sad... :-( I really "enjoy" true crime, so I've liked this month for PBT reads. Would have liked to have had more time to read more!

Thanks for the info re: audio books. I wouldn't have thought of it, but it's a good idea. I'll try to keep an eye out for reviews already on the shelf, too, where the audio edition isn't already added and I'll add them in if I can. Yeah, it takes a long time just to find the Bunny Hop threads, let alone add them all, but I'll just slowly plug away at them... Of course, once another game gets going, catching up on the Bunny Hop may get set aside temporarily.

Good luck with finding some time to read again!

Hi! As you can tell, I'm adding books to the PBT shelf at the moment (I actually decided to go back and do Bunny Hop ones; I know you did most of the earlier games, but I'd noticed that the Bunny Hop wasn't one you went back to. This will be a long, slow process, I'm sure!)

Anyway, I just noticed a couple that had more than one edition. When I went to look, it was a print and an audio edition added to the shelf. I haven't been doing that. Were you doing that all along? I wonder if I should start. I hadn't even thought of that, but it kind of makes sense, given that some of the reviews are for the audio...

Do you know that I wanted to leave you a note (here I am to do so, right after this little tangent!), and I was on PBT when I thought of it, so the first place I went to look to click on you was to the main PBT page under admins!? Just a habit to think to go there, I guess! It's not like I don't know. I was going to log off right after leaving you a note to go do the shelving. LOL!

Anyway, I was wondering how you were doing on your own personal 101 books list? I started a list, but never did fill it up with 101 books. I have about 50 books and even a few of those are ???s. I may not read those ones, we'll see. I just counted and I've read 16 of the approx. 50 I added. Not too bad, I don't think, certainly in comparison to the real 1001 books list, where I've read about 30, so the percentage for my personal list is much much better! :)

Hey - No, my book isn't in eBook format. I'm not sure if I have a PDF of it or not. If I do, would you be able to read it on your Nook?

I almost never check facebook. It's too complicated for me. My church friends get offended at my business friends and my theater friends don't like my political friends and any comment that would be suitable for everyone was basically useless so I just stay away. I didn't know there was a PBT group, though.

Frankly, I was wondering if "engaged" in my SD's case was just a sop to the parents (all 8 of us, don't you love blended families?) but they did buy rings for one another over Christmas, so maybe. Get with the cross-stitch, woman, you've got all this time now that you're not constantly shelving for PBT! Just kidding - I'm hoping you passed the job on because your store's taking off. Yes?

We've talked family before - my stepdaughter (since she was 11) just turned 29! How'd that happen? She's catching up! She's engaged and I'm expecting to be in your shoes before too much longer.

I saw that Kristal would like to own The Alchemy Of Stone. So I looked at your shelf and had to add some stuff to my wishlist. You have to stop finding books that sound so good. :)

He wrote A Town Like Alicew which made into a black and white film about WW2 and the Japanese soldiers etc. Did he also write No Highway? I have a feeling that that book was one of his. O may be wrong but if so, I have read both and liked both.
