    My mom only had one eye. I hated her... she was such an embarrassment.

    مادر من فقط يك چشم داشت . من از اون متنفر بودم ... اون هميشه مايه خجالت من بود

    She cooked for students & teachers to support the family.

    اون براي امرار معاش خانواده براي معلم ها و بچه مدرسه اي ها غذا مي پخت

    There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me.

    يك روز اومده بود دم در مدرسه كه به من سلام كنه و منو با خود به خونه ببره

    I was so embarrassed. How could she do this to me?

    خيلي خجالت كشيدم . آخه اون چطور تونست اين كار رو بامن بكنه ؟

    I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out.

    به روي خودم نياوردم ، فقط با تنفر بهش يه نگاه كردم وفورا از اونجا دور شدم

    The next day at school one of my classmates said, "EEEE, your mom only has one eye!"

    روز بعد يكي از همكلاسي ها منو مسخره كرد و گفت هووو .. مامان تو فقط يك چشم داره

    I wanted to bury myself. I also wanted my mom to just disappear.

    فقط دلم ميخواست يك جوري خودم رو گم و گور كنم . كاش زمين دهن وا ميكرد و منو ..كاش مادرم يه جوري گم و گور ميشد...

    So I confronted her that day and said, " If you're only gonna make me a laughing stock, why don't you just die?!!!"

    روز بعد بهش گفتم اگه واقعا ميخواي منو شاد و خوشحال كني چرا نمي ميري ؟

    My mom did not respond...

    اون هيچ جوابي نداد....

    I didn't even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because I was full of anger.

    حتي يك لحظه هم راجع به حرفي كه زدم فكر نكردم ، چون خيلي عصباني بودم .

    I was oblivious to her feelings.

    احساسات اون براي من هيچ اهميتي نداشت

    I wanted out of that house, and have nothing to do with her.

    دلم ميخواست از اون خونه برم و ديگه هيچ كاري با اون نداشته باشم

    So I studied real hard, got a chance to go to Singapore to study.

    سخت درس خوندم و موفق شدم براي ادامه تحصيل به سنگاپور برم

    Then, I got married. I bought a house of my own. I had kids of my own.

    اونجا ازدواج كردم ، واسه خودم خونه خريدم ، زن و بچه و زندگي...

    I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts

    از زندگي ، بچه ها و آسايشي كه داشتم خوشحال بودم

    Then one day, my mother came to visit me.

    تا اينكه يه روز مادرم اومد به ديدن من

    She hadn't seen me in years and she didn't even meet her grandchildren.

    اون سالها منو نديده بود و همينطور نوه ها شو

    When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at her for coming over uninvited.

    وقتي ايستاده بود دم در بچه ها به اون خنديدند و من سرش داد كشيدم كه چرا خودش رو دعوت كرده كه بياد اينجا ، اونم بي خبر

    I screamed at her, "How dare you come to my house and scare my children!" GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!"

    سرش داد زدم ": چطور جرات كردي بياي به خونه من و بجه ها رو بترسوني؟!" گم شو از اينجا! همين حالا

    And to this, my mother quietly answered, "Oh, I'm so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address," and she disappeared out of sight.

    اون به آرامي جواب داد : " اوه خيلي معذرت ميخوام مثل اينكه آدرس رو عوضي اومدم " و بعد فورا رفت واز نظر ناپديد شد .

    One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house in Singapore .

    يك روز يك دعوت نامه اومد در خونه من درسنگاپور براي شركت درجشن تجديد ديدار دانش آموزان مدرسه

    So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip.

    ولي من به همسرم به دروغ گفتم كه به يك سفر كاري ميرم .

    After the reunion, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity.

    بعد از مراسم ، رفتم به اون كلبه قديمي خودمون ؛ البته فقط از روي كنجكاوي .

    My neighbors said that she is died.

    همسايه ها گفتن كه اون مرده

    I did not shed a single tear.

    ولي من حتي يك قطره اشك هم نريختم

    They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have.

    اونا يك نامه به من دادند كه اون ازشون خواسته بود كه به من بدن

    "My dearest son, I think of you all the time. I'm sorry that I came to Singapore and scared your children.

    اي عزيزترين پسر من ، من هميشه به فكر تو بوده ام ، منو ببخش كه به خونت تو سنگاپور اومدم و بچه ها تو ترسوندم ،

    I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion.

    خيلي خوشحال شدم وقتي شنيدم داري ميآي اينجا

    But I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you.

    ولي من ممكنه كه نتونم از جام بلند شم كه بيام تورو ببينم

    I'm sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were growing up.

    وقتي داشتي بزرگ ميشدي از اينكه دائم باعث خجالت تو شدم خيلي متاسفم

    You see........when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye.

    آخه ميدوني ... وقتي تو خيلي كوچيك بودي تو يه تصادف يك چشمت رو از دست دادي

    As a mother, I couldn't stand watching you having to grow up with one eye.

    به عنوان يك مادر نمي تونستم تحمل كنم و ببينم كه تو داري بزرگ ميشي با يك چشم

    So I gave you mine.

    بنابراين چشم خودم رو دادم به تو

    I was so proud of my son who was seeing a whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye.

    براي من اقتخار بود كه پسرم ميتونست با اون چشم به جاي من دنياي جديد رو بطور كامل ببينه

    Yea I liked it too. You should definately read twilight. I loved that series. And if you enjoyed Harry Potter than you would def like the Twilight series.
