Ever since I learned to read at age 5, reading has been my favorite past-time. I would be described as a book worm. From classics to modern fiction, I read it all. In the past few years, I've averaged at about 1 book per week. Books are treasures. :)

  5. My Fair Lazy

Ena B edited the summary of My Fair Lazy Thursday, June 10, 2010.

    • Prepare to witness a renaissance - make that a JENaissance! My Fair Lazy follows New York Times bestelling author Jen Lancaster's efforts to achieve cultural enlightment, and bears witness to the hilarious missteps and genuine moments of inspiration she encounters along the way.

In her quest to expand her horizons in the hopes of simultaneously expanding the material available to her as a writer and improving her inteactions with her fellow man, Jen attempts to turn the tide on her natural propensity of sloth by exposing herself to an assortment of new cultural experiences. And so we watch as she goes to her first modern-dance recital, reads canonical literature (and some less than canonical literature), rubs elbows with stars of stage and film, and tastes food that she's never even heard of, let alone thought to eat.

In Jen's corner is a crack team of experts, including Page Six socialites, gourmet chefs, and a theater aficionado. Along the way she may discover that high-priced, stinky cheese taste exactly as bad as it smells and that her love for Kraft American Singles is forever. But one thing's for sure: Eliza Doolittle's got nothing on Jen Lancaster.
