She wanted cereals for breakfast. Satori calmly opened her eyes and found herself staring at white. It was the first thing she saw every morning. For years, she had been trying to change that by moving around a lot in bed at night but always, always, she ended up lying on her back once the sun came up. It was driving her crazy but she would not give up.

With slow but sure movements, she climbed down her bed and found Mr. Hazu on the floor. Somehow, sometime in the middle of the night, he must have fallen off from her embrace. There was a slight smudge under his cheek and Satori narrowed her eyes.

Had Mr. Hazu been out while she was sleeping?

A midnight rendezvous, perhaps?

But the bear was smart and didn’t blink nor turn away from her gaze. Satori frowned and crossed her arms. She would find out sooner or later.

For now, she would have to content herself with cereals. « less
