Very similar to Diane Mott Davidson's books with Goldy. I don't like these books as well as the ones from Davidson.

I didn't like this book as much as his others but it was a great story.

Another perfect story from Pat Conroy. Conroy is one of America's greatest treasures. I waited, along with the rest of the reading world, for this book. It was something like ten plus years and as usual, worth the wait. Pat Conroy touches me like no other writer. i think about his books long after I'm finished reading them. If I could meet one living writer it would be him.
He writes with such feeling. It's like he has to put it all out there; his innermost fears and his shortcomings. When I read his books I feel like I'm reading his diary. It's almost like he has to put these things down on paper to make them go away or to deal with them. I can't think of another writer who gives so much of himself to his stories. Then again I could be all wrong, maybe it is really just fiction and none of his inner feelings are in the story at all.
The only negative aspect about a Pat Conroy book is they end. I hope it's not another ten years until his next book.

This book was really deep and I expected it to really be profound. Instead for some reason it just wasn't believeable for me. I did find myself thinking once again about the horrors of the Holocaust and wondering how on earth one human could be so evil to another human being. But this book just didn't move me like say the Kite Runner. I didn't dislike the book but I wouldn't recommend it.

Michael Connelly is crime mystery at it's best. He just can't write a bad story.

This is the first book I've read by this author. I thought the book was so well written but the ending spoiled it for me. The ending didn't measure up with the rest of the book. I see many high reviews for this book but I didn't see it that way. I will read other books by this author to see if I like them any better.

It's hard for me figure out if I liked this book or not. Sounds strange, I know. The story would get good and then go bad. I found the ending shallow for lack of a better term. The book seems to go on and on and I didn't feel anything for any of the characters. There were some funny one liners.
I always feel like I've missed something when I don't like a book that the rest of the world says is so good and this was one of those books.

Very moving story of what one woman sees is her duty. Her sacrifice is hard to come to terms with but leaves you wondering if you've made any worthy sacrifices in your own life. I found myself angry at her and sad for her at the same time. It's a great story and I would recommend it.

This is the first Agatha Christie book I've read. Since I love a good mystery I wanted to see how her books differ from modern day mysteries. This book was well written but not remarkable in any way. I found the personality quirks of some of the characters to be annoying. I will read more of her books.

The imagination of Ms. Rowling never ceases to amaze me. The details she puts in the story are terrific and so imaginative.
