Year of Wonders

“What would it have been like to live through the devastation of the Bubonic Plague? The Plague ultimately killed one fouth of the population of Europe and arrived late (1666) to England, the location of this historical novel. Told in the first person, Anna Frith relates the horrors heaped on her village as first the villagers ty to cope with a quarantine and later as they beleive witchcraft is responsible. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. FIC BRO”

“Susie views her family from heaven. You see, she was murdered when she was 14 years old in the corn field behind her house by a freaky neighbor. Now, in heaven Susie can see how her family deals with her death, the empty spot she left behind. This is not about religion but reality, it is a secular heaven. Enxcellent book. It will grab you.
