I am glad it arrived safely. I had put a note in the package, but the post office made me take it out :( Otherwise it would of cost $5 more to send it!
Yes I did read it...LOL I don't like to creas the spines of my books. Even hardcover books, I keep them like new! Maybe we could all pass on our books to another member? that would be fun.
Your welcome and I can't wait to hear what you think.

Oops, thanks so much Barbara! I just fixed it. Yes, I keep myself kinda busy. I just completed my first embroidery project. It was fun. I found a wonderful stitch-along that I hope to be joining soon. As for the quilting, I need to order some fabric, and well, I just have so many other unfinished projects, I'll reward myself with fabric once some of those are knock out! On the cross stitch, I think we talked before about the piece you did "The Goblin Market"? Pretty sure it was you. I have a ton of older books, but I've found some wonderful new designs that I want to start working on. There are a lot of designs out now that look like old samplers. Birds of a Feather is once company that I love. They have some wonderful stuff!

I'd love to see your quilts. Post some pictures somewhere-Flickr-where I can come look. Or start a blog, it's fun and there are some many cool people to meet!

    Good Morning,
OOps - sorry about the MA, MI error. Yes you traveled way on the opposite side of the state. What would we do without computers! My daughter and I travel often to Boston. It is our favorite city! Is Springfield near there?
This is the second time I have read Guernsey. I am re-reading it for my FTF book club. I read it so long ago I don't remember all the characters and the details. Not good when you need to discuss it. Do you listen to a lot of audio books? I often think I should get one, but never do.
I look forward to chatting and seeing what books you are reading. We will probably be reading the same one!

WOW - 200 books in common is awesome. That is the most I have had in common with anyone. I guess we both have great taste...lOl
I live in Fredonia NY. We are right off the NYS Thruway and on lake Erie. Do you live in FL and MI?

    Hi Barbara,

Seems I haven't had much time for sitting down with a book lately but have been working my way through the Outlander series in DAD format -- usually able to snatch a few minutes while I'm doing dishes or packing lunches, etc. Someday . . .

Trust you're enjoying all sorts of good things! Miss you at the advisory board meetings. Take care.

I've been busy installing a new front yard - 9 pallets of zoysia and dozens of plants and shrubs. I read a few from the library I turned in without posting. I'm reading Dragon Fire by William Cohen now - very good so far. Kevin has accepted a position with CH Robinson, a Fortune 500 third party logistics company. Nathan lost his HOPE scholarship, but got through his freshman year.

No problem. Thank you so much for taking the time to keep the catalog up to date. You can also update the series from the series page and it will automatically make the changes to the book detail page as well. I often find that way is quicker when I have a lot of stuff to add to a series. Once you are on the series page you can click on edit (which is right underneath the series title next to the line that tells you how many books are currently in the series). Once you click on edit you can search for books to add to the series.

Hi Barbara, I wanted to let you know the reason I did not approve your request for the title change of the Joanne Kilbourn books. It is Shelfari's policy not to include the series information in the title. The series information should be in the series section of the book detail page. Once that is completed, it will appear above the title on the book detail page and search results.

So far I'm enjoying it very much. I absolutely loved "Garden Spells". I'm also listening to the second Hockensmith book "On the Wrong Track". I'm so glad you introduced me to those cowboys -- too funny!

Hi - Hope you two are enjoying yourselves!! Barbara, That Camden Summer is one of my Lavyrle Spencer (keepers) collection; I must have been doing things to those books to have them appear as they did. Probably re-spelling Lavyrle's name in the tags! LOL. That particular book will probably be read this summer/fall. I brought three or four with me to FL, but that's not one of them. I loved it, though, and will love it again when I reread it.

Barbara, I just sent you a book recommendation and it's the first one I've ever sent. I don't know for sure if the way I did it is right; I sent it to you and two others and maybe I should have done that separately? Anyway, will you let me know if you get this recommendation and how it seems? If you read that book, I hope you get the pleasure from it that I did. Those reviews, though - I loved it, but that's not exactly how the others saw the book. Different strokes .........??

My flight is for May 5 (Cinco de Mayo!). Haven't done anything toward that departure yet - only looked at my 10-page list for FL/MA and taken care of 3 things listed. I'm a procrastinator all the way!
I just know you'll love not having to "punch a time card", Barbara. Enjoy your trip; I know that's where you are now.

You must have actually retired by now! I hope all worked out well for you. Dottie was here for two weeks and just flew home after we did many things that were fun. I just saw something on Shelfari that made me think you've really hit the date.

    Hi Barbara,
Did you go through with your retirement? If so, I hope you are enjoying it and doing lots of things for fun. The library was beautiful, you behind a wonderful legacy.

    Barbara,

Thank you for the lovely bookmark - you're always so thoughtful.
Would like to ask a favor: my sister Cathy who has also recently retired, is a newcomer to Shelfari and just getting her shelf up and running. Would you consider being her "friend"? She is listed as Cathy R on my friend list. She is an avid reader and a thoughtful critic of what she reads.
    Thanks, Mary Ellen
