Thank you. I came accross this site on your web page (I check it at the beginning of each month for news of new books) and thought I'd check it out. I can't promise to be a very active participant in your reading group, but I do want to try when time allows me.
(Let me apologize for my spelling in advance) So far I've read the Morcyth Saga (and loved it!! A truly original Idea - I still don't understand how it wasn't snatched up by a publisher!! ), The Shepphard's Quest Trilogy (Wow!! What a GREAT trilogy!! It was like a authentic D&D game come alive -much more so than the "official series" books that the D&D makers put out . You could tell that you actually had experience with that type of game. ). In both series you made the reader really feel for and like the characters. You made us "care" what happened to them -that is the mark of a very good writer!,I also read the Ring of the Ortugh ( The only one I didn't like -a well writtin book - I just didn't like the fact that nothing was resolved at the ending - it felt more like a short story than a stand alone novel where nothing was resolved - I am sorry but I do like endings whether in series format or stand alone format i, I hate short storys. You also made me like the main character so I felt "outraged at the fact that he was used by this Goddess and her servants (brought to their world, tortured, told he was going to be a hero (made to go through alot of hardships to bring the ring to a certain place and time and then uncerumoneously crushed to death with not even a thank you very much, while the other main characters just went ahead with their merry little lives - that just got under my skin so much I was disgusted with the whole book.) LOL sorry for the harsh critisism there, but again your writing was so good it made me care about the character in the book - so while I didn't care for the book itself Your writing was still great!!
Anyways I didn't mean to write so much lol. It is good to meet you and I just wanted to tell you I enjoy your books tremendesly (again sorry for spelling)!! I cant wait to read the sequel to the Morcynth Saga, and I hope theres a sequel trilogy to Shepherds Quest (It seemed like the ending of that trilogy suggested there may be one in the future). Keep up the good work Sir!! Kolan Foley
