Yay books!! I'm currently a full time college student at an art school (full time fashion student and part time everything else) and LOVING it as I work my butt off through weeks of sleepless nights and countless cups of caffeine, fighting through endless obstacles of homework, the fearful monster we call stress, and keeping my room clean. ... more »

    Hey Anna :)

Really, thanks! I love yours too :) Welcome to you too, and thanks! I am kinda new to Shelfari, but I love it :)

Yeah, I mainly read teen chick-lit, since that's what the theme of my review blog is... I mainly read anything thrown in my direction (not literally speaking of course ;)) I don't know why I read that, I'm unlike the normal teen in that I'm WEIRD :) Some of them are really good. If you read any hope you like them :) I looked through yours too- I didn't even recognize a lot of the authors, lol :)

    P.S. Haha- It's 2 AM and I'm on Shelfari :)

    Talk to ya later,

    Hey there,
Good to hear from you again. :)
I have little or no understanding of what makes a modern teen tick (despite being one) - this is because I am so very different from everyone else! On my end of semester report (yay, it's my holidays!!!), my homeroom teacher said I needed to be more social; that is very hard when you dislike most of your peers, or have nothing in common with them! But I enjoy being different, so that's okay. ;)
Nope, my scarf has kind of been abandoned - it was midwinter solstice for NZ on Sunday! But we have been getting VERY frosty mornings; in Dunedin, the entire town was shut down due to the amount of snow! Oh, and the sea froze over. :)
    I went a bit camera-happy for a while; my computer's hard-drive bore the brunt of it. :)

Hope your exams went well, good luck getting the perfect shot, have a nice life until I speak to you next!

    Hey,
Sometimes I think it may just be lack of time that causes people to become inactive. I mean, I don't think chatting online should be anyone's top priority, and maybe people just suddenly have a lot of stuff they should be doing, and don't have the time to be doing what they want to. Then again, there's always those people with oceans of time, but spend it doing things which us literature-minded people don't! The modern youth's culture is a very sad state of affairs, I'm afraid. Many people dislike me because I try hard for my assignments! Or maybe it's the subsequent good marks they don't like. Who knows?
I'm breathing a sigh of relief that my exam week is over. Finally I can chill out, and do stuff I enjoy. (Not to mention eat some junk food, too!)
Is it summer in California? It is just about winter here in NZ and it is very cold. I hate the cold! I am trying to knit myself a scarf in school uniform colours so I can wear it to school, but at this rate it will be ready for next winter!
I was lucky enough to be given a Lumix camera by my grandparents a few years ago, and from then my love of nature photography grew. I've taken a few great shots of a NZ native Woodpigeon which I cherish - maybe I will upload one as my profile picture. My cats are willing subjects, too - a few thousand shots of them on my computer!
I find the key to finding an active group is looking at other peoples' groups. Look for the most active one in their profile. I also belong to a group where we have a nice little core of about five people who regularly contribute - it's very nice.
    See you later. :)

    Hi again,
Thank you! I don't really update my shelf anymore - I spend too much time chatting in my favourite groups! I have that trouble in bookstores, too - I just see so many books, I have to restrict myself from emptying my wallet! At my school library, I was at a loose end and browsing randomly one day, when I came upon a large pocket of interesting books (in the 'N' section, funnily). About a dozen or so books that really piqued my interest, and I was annoyed because I had too many books lent out all ready! Also, with my exams next week, I don't really have much time to read any more.
My profile picture is one I took of my cat - I'm into nature photography, and was trying to capture a tree with a pretty background, when she came up from behind and sniffed my lens! It was quite funny at the time.
I write YA stories - I'm not really sure how to describe them. One is a failed attempt at a 19th Century drama, another set in a Missouri schoolyard, yet another to be magical fantasy. Yep, I'm diverse all right - maybe a bit too diverse!
Thanks for replying - and I'm sorry to say my brother has succumbed to whatever prevents people from coming onto shelfari. I think I am more resilient.
    Bye!

Hello there. I noticed you on my brother's Friend list (Alexander E), and began to read your introduction and posts. I was wondering: do you write, at all? I am writing a couple of novels at the moment, and what you wrote sounded captivating. You have quite a way with words. Have you ever considered writing? You sound like a very interesting person; I also enjoy art, fiction, music, travelling, discussions, games and photography (my profile picture is one I took :) ) and found we had quite a bit in common. I am loving your shelf! I totally understood what you and my brother were saying about friends no longer coming onto Shelfari; also so many groups where there are over thirty members, but nobody participates.
Anyway, thought I'd say hello and ask whether you wrote.

All the same, thanks for replying; most of the people I knew/intorduced to Shelfari stopped using it months ago... At any rate, I know exactly what you mean about the school-work; I'm drowning in homework at the moment :(. As for the twilight saga, it really is the must read young-adult series at the moment. My sister and all her friends were reading the series, so I though what the heck, you only have to try something once. I'm glad I did, though; finished the whole series in a month and a half (kept having excrutiating waits to borrow the next book). The end of Breaking Dawn was definitely the highlight for me, when Bella began to be able to use her shield.

Wow! What a shelf! I think I might be able to garner a FEW ideas from there... lol! Ah, the Bartimaeus Trilogy , that is a nice series. i have read all of them, I just haven't gotten around to puting it on my shelf (i.e. I forgot). I highly recomend you try and finish it, I think the last one is the best. I will look out for Neverwhere, but I think that one may be a little hard to find; living in NZ seriously limits the number of books available to read. In the meantime, I've just gotten the final in the Saga of Seven Suns, so I'm planning on reading all of them in order... That will keep me going for quite a while at my current pace :)
Hope you manage to find some more time to read :)
    Happy reading!

Nah, Isha's wondering who else to invite and you came up but she's odd. And nvm... I think it's going to be in Dec when everyone else is back in SD, like Lizzy and Dinana. XD And I have no clue about CC get together... they're the adults with knowledge of places...And I didn't bond with anyone other than Oscar so... haha. :\

No it's not... make friends at AI foooooo..

Well my ad for Wreathru... which is pretty much gay guys ruling the future world with women being endangered... didn't work so not necessarily, they have to engage her in some other ways... We believe that she didn't get into Wreathru because it's sci-fi, which I love so I was biased and didn't think it was a problem.

I've been doing jack squat as well, but I try to instigate a get together with the others once in a while, my days are too dull without them. :d

Nope... I've been busy raiding the public library of their manga... XD

No it's not a good idea... I hate it but I promised to finish her book and I'd feel bad to take back my book w/o finishing hers.

Speaking of lonely... You wanna go to Isha's party? If she plans it well, it should be around next weekend, not this upcoming, or turkey break... I have no clue when that is that's why I'm like...what?. I'll be picking up people, more than likely Dinana and John, so I could give you a ride there. And hm... I dunno about the CC get together. I hope they pick a good time for me, one that I could actually go to. Dx

LOL, that's what I feel on some occasions but I usually find friends who like it. If not... well I'd just keep spreading the word around until someone picks it up. And it's your fault for making me feel bad... WTH.. imaginary friends. ]_[

Your series are too long right now for me and I'm retarded like that. D:

LOL, I think I got Linda to like nightrunner at first because I said "gay hot guys" first. XD

We have get togethers here and there but we don't usually ask if you wanna come because we have no clue when you're able to go. :\

WTH, you are emo. Call up someone to go out somewhere. D:
