My copy is dripping with fresh green highlighter ink; like some kind of geeky journalist slasher movie. Full of great lessons for anybody on how to think more creatively and tackle problems from different angles. Only been reading it for about a day, and I am down to the last 10 pages or so.

Holy shit. Outstanding. Books like this make me thankful that people still write, and that I can read. Must-read for anybody working near tech.

    Mobile Web Design

    by Cameron Moll

This was written on '07, when the mobile web was still up-and-coming. At the time, the "it depends" answers would have been perfect for the developing medium. But I read this in '09, and I was expecting more answers than questions. Still, thought provoking and relevant, perfectly valid dissection of mobile web design. I would love to read an update with greater insight given the 09 mobile browser market.

Insightful, fun read. Lots of useful concepts for many facets of life (chiefly, web design and acting, for me).

Love this book. I love how he describes character nuances in two powerful words that would take me two clumsy sentences. I love the things his characters don't say. Every story is a little portable 25 page world of wonderful vivid and grotesquely human character detail. Excellent read.

Holy Hell. My Spring Break best-of's cannot compete with this.

Hunter gives me something to keep shooting for, that's for damn sure.

I probably expected too much out of this book when I picked it up. I fell in love with Salinger after reading Nine Stories. Catcher, on the other hand, is just great.

Probably my favorite aspect of reading Catcher was the evolution of my opinions toward Mister Caulfield. At first, he's this tough guy. He gets under your skin a little bit and you say, "ok, tough guy. Which quippy comeback is next?" But he continues to show more character: just an awkward, cerebral teenager. Sometimes naive, other times deep; more insightful than he realizes. I actually came to pity the guy at different points.

Overall, I really dug this book. Salinger confessing that this was 'somewhat autobiographical' just makes it all the more satisfying. I'll pick it up again in a couple years.
