My thoughts exactly. Good luck with your project. The first poem I am using in front of my first chapter is titled DARKNESS the next poem probably prefacing chapter two is titled FOR SANITIES SAKE. Both can be viewed at the following http://www.authorsden.com/anthonywnutter or if you prefer http://www.freewebs.com/abcedit

Talking to several other authors there are a couple of ways to set the poem up. One way is to have let's say chapter one the name of the poem centered on page. The poem centered under the name and then immediately after the last line of the poem the books text starts. My preferred way is to place the poem on a page by it's self centered in the page and then start the first chapter on the following page. If any of that makes sense. Try a couple of different ways and see what looks best for you.

The concept of adding a poem at a chapters beginning is not an original idea. There has been several authors who have used poetry in this fashion, some use their own work, some use others. If you want to use your poetry I say go for it.

Thank you for taking the time to read my work. The compliments are greatly appreciated. From reading my posts at PA you probably are already aware that I am writing my third horror novel that will incorporate a poem at the begining of each chapter. Thanks again and keep writing.

How are you? Hey, thanks for checking in. My agent sent out my manuscript yesterday for the first time, so I'm happy about that (I made a few revisions first). She has ten copies of my manuscript; so far, she pitched to two publishers. All I need is one! :)

Hi Rightside. Happy New Year's to you. I have some good news. I'm so estactic. I just found out that my novel, MARRIED MAN has been nominated for BEST FICTION. If you don't mind, I would love your support and as well your vote. To cast your vote for MARRIED MAN, simply click on this link or copy it into your browser: http://www.infinipromoters.com and click on Poll#1, scroll down to the category: Best Fiction and cast your vote.

Thanks for your continued support. Last year when I won Best Fiction and Best New Author for "A Woman Scorn'd" at the INFINI AWARDS it was truly an honor. To see my novel nominated this year is even more of a honor. Your vote determines whether I make it to the TOP 5. Thanks again. ~~Dorothy Goins

Widow Traci Evans sits in on meetings with the lovely ladies of the Invincible Sisterhood because for a little while she can feel as if she belongs. The members are all sweet older women who have lost their husbands, but not their passion for life. However, unlike the other women in the Sisterhood, Traci's husband died while cheating on her.

Traci has no intention of letting a man make a fool of her again. Not even if he begged. Even her newfound friend and neighbor, Maureen Gilmore, can't convince her to open her heart to love again. But when Maureen's gorgeous son Ryan admits he's attracted to Traci, she might have to rethink everything she knows about love. Maureen has some soul searching to do as well. She's interested in a sexy young policeman...and then the unthinkable happens, she starts having hot flashes

Two women - two impossible situations.
