Pretty good if I do say so myself. :) Oddly, I've involved myself with Facebook, which is weird considering I told everyone that I was never going to join the Facebookies. ;)

Life's been great, school's getting complicated with all the class and teacher cuts and I believe my art teacher hates....well hate is a strong word...HMM..Well she strongly despises my art work and shows no approval of my techniques. Though, I am exaggerating, I'm in Art club. ;) So she can't dislike me too much. Winter came back. Mew.

I also fail to mention how cute the kittens are! I wish my parents would allow me to have a pet right now. And if they do, I'd like to have a cat, or a dog, or even a panda! XD Of course, the last one's most unlikely. What are their names?

First of all, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :D

You should read Paulo Coelho's books because most of it concerns about spirituality. I recommend The Witch of Portobello because it kind of discusses the same religion as Wicca.

About the 'ritual' you do for seeing your past lives in front of the mirror, it is kind of familiar to me. I grow up watching to horror movies that a person (mostly girls) would be in front of a mirror, casting or chanting some spell--but instead of seeing the past lives, you will see the face of your future husband (and eventually that face would turn into some creepy, bloody dude). Anyways, I'm just imagining doing that and I came to have two reactions: 1) it would totally be hard not to blink and to only focus your eyes on the image on the mirror all the time; and 2) You can call me scaredy-cat, but it would really creep me out if all lights would be turned off and only a candle (all the while facing a mirror) illuminates a room, in which I'm on my own. Or maybe the latter reaction is the product of my constant watching of the above-mentioned horror movies as a child. The first reaction doesn't bother me that much though. How many times have you done this already? Have you achieved it for just one try?

Is a Book of Shadows made of ordinary notebook, or do you have a special way of making it? It kind of reminds me about my high school teacher's journal--except it contains mostly of poems, songs, own-made surveys...that kind of stuffs. He used to tell us that we might also keep that kind of journal. But I was mostly too lazy to keep a journal (though this year I'm trying to keep one). It must have required diligence to keep a Book of Shadows. Btw, do you have a 'teacher' to help you learn new kinds of spells or do you learn it from your fellow Wiccans?

Can you encounter other people (especially those who are also experiencing astral projection the same time as you do)? And does the astral plain made only out of your imagination, or is it something that is already there--only we cannot see or go there unless we're not experiencing astral projection? A nun in my school told us that when we're dreaming, our soul wanders everywhere, thus the 'dreams' we have when we sleep. And sometimes, the soul fails to find a way back to the body, thus the unexplained deaths while a person was just sleeping. And there are times when the soul 'crash' back to the body (may be the same as to your experience of being thrown back to your body), thus the feeling of like falling down and suddenly waking up. Is dreaming just like an astral projection?

I haven't been practicing meditating for the past few days already. I just can't find time to do it. Do you meditate at a certain time of a day? Can time also affect your meditating?

And yes, I am now reading Edgar Allan Poe--especially his poems. I like the An Enigma. It is, perhaps, the most I can relate to right now (especially my biggest concern as to my choices of music). And I like the ambiguity in most of Regina's songs. I like that different people can have their own different opinion or perspective about what her song is about. And I tend to use pencil when writing poems, so that I can change a word or two when I didn't feel like it. I have this idea that I will only be satisfied with that poem (or something that I may be writing) if I can make it even better. But I also like your opinion about that there may be a reason why you have written something in the first place. Anyways, if you have time, I hope you can read my poems and I hope, tell me what you think about it... http://www.wattpad.com/user/ladilune . Thanks a thousand times :D

I am reading the book Brida by Paulo Coelho right now. And I got to the part where Brida manages to go to a place full of ancient, dusty books that is the stories of her past lives. She randomly picked one and when she opened it, she came back to one of her past lives. All of these were just visions, of course. But before this visions or dreams happened to her, there is some kind of ritual that is made to her by a witch whose name is Wicca. I haven't finished it yet though.

And wow! You were once a daughter of an adviser of an Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh? That's so cool. I wonder who am I in my past lives :D And was it also like a "dream"--the way you saw your past life? Was it vivid? Did you saw your face, or did you only see through your eyes? I bet that would be a great experience.

And is Book of Shadows kind of like the Christians' Bible?

And about the astral projection, I also read about that in Paulo Coelho's book which is Veronika Decides to Die, wherein one of the characters experiences it. Like, she can jump or go to wherever she desires while a string holds her spirit to her body so that she can go back to the body anytime. Is that right?

I like how you can feel being a part of the water when you're meditating. I am trying to practice meditating everyday especially it's school break--so, I have lots of time to do it. What happens when you receive too much great energy, btw?

I like Edgar Allan Poe's short stories (one of which is where the main character killed his master and his conscience paved way for him to confess to the police; I forgot the title, sorry!) and of course I read Annabel Lee. I haven't read much of his poems, but I'll try to borrow a book of his complete works in the library and read it :) As for me, I like Regina Spektor. I know she's a singer but she also writes her songs and the lyrics are just so beautiful and meaningful. So, in a sense she might as well be a poet. Anyways, how do write your poems? Do you use pen and paper, or do you just directly type it in your computer?

Yes, we just have let those beliefs rest to God or to Goddess. No one really knows the universal truth of everything. And sometimes, it's killing me.

And wow, it's so cool knowing that you were once someone else. Like, you might be once a princess or something. Is there a way or a chance to know who you are before or in the past lives? Or we aren't suppose to know? And even trees can be rebirthed, too? I mean, even plants? I didn't expect it, really. :D

When you are meditating, what is happening in your mind? Does it go blank or do you think of something else or are you transported to a different kind of "world"?

You're right, publishing your work is a tough thing to do. I'm glad that you had made it :D And there are a lot more chances for everyone. Anyways, I remember this poem! I think I may have read it in our group :) And I like the message--a world that is free, a world that is worth dreaming. It's actually deserving to get published.

Who is your favorite poet, by the way?

But I think our souls are no longer "full", so to speak. I think out of the 3,000 population of the world a long, long time ago...the souls are now divided into six billion people. You get what I'm saying? Like every time we rebirth, our souls will also be divided into multiple of people. And that may also explain the concept of "soulmate" becuase your soul was once a part of a whole of that other person's soul. So, you cannot have just one soulmate. Anyways, it's just something I was thinking of.

And yes, there are weird dreams about I am someone from the past. Like, I am part of an African tribe or something. Maybe that explains it. Would it also be possible that in the past life you're an animal?

Wow, it took you a year to really get used to meditating? I hope I can practice it, and that I will have enough time to actually do it every day. Right now, how much time does it take for you to meditate?

Congratulations, by the way! What book is it? Can I read it? Can you let me read the poem? I wish I could really read it since it sounds interesting :) You're so lucky to be published; I tried submitting my poems to a publisher before but I never heard back from them. But it doesn't stop me from writing poems :)

I'm sorry for not replying in such a long time. I like the Wiccan view of rebirth--I totally agree on it. And as for meditating, it's no good for me at all because I have "too much" energy for that XD But I hope I can help myself in opening up my affinities.

And yay! You're now a published poet? How cool is that? I think you deserve it because your poems are really good :) Can you tell me more about it? And you're pretty, btw.

Ah I see, KITTENS! :D So cute.

Haha I've been good, up and down really. As a freshman, I'm bound to run into trouble. ;) Discovering myself, being a dork in art class, making new buds (even a guy, which for me is a bit surprising), and enjoying life. Feeling free, that's how it's suppose to be, ay? lol On an adventure to find a superman, grow taller, and be awesome. Oh yeah, my life is epic. Whether a fail or an awesome riot. :D

Though, I'm a bit disappointed with shelfari, I used to be addicted to the rpgs and everything. Now it's...just dead. Peeps bes' be getting back to shelfari. NOW. xD

I'm happy that you're not like those people who can get stuck from the past. I am sometimes like that; I cannot easily get over something bad that happened to me a long time ago and I'd eventually become bitter about it. It's good that you're moving on and you're health had also been fine.

Karma, hell, or whatever punishment there is, I know she will be punished. I like the Wiccan perspective of being reborn into someone you might've had "despised" when you're still living. It's like the Goddess is giving you the chance to really put yourself on another man's shoes.

And now I understand how "fragile" the element of air is. I'm just happy to have this simple affinity with scents. It seems a bit scary to practice the air element because, as what you've said, it is powerful. How do you practice you affinities anyway? (Or does practice even the correct word?) And how about your affinity where you can have visions of the future, is it one of those affinities that is not needed on a daily basis, or does it just unpredictably come and go?

I'd also like to ask this, do you have a church? Like, the Catholic have this buildings for church. Where do you do all of your rituals and stuff like that?

    Abelink says

What they did to you was more than evil. I don't know what else to say. It's just so...horrible.

No, you are strong. If you're not, how can you be able to survive all this? And all that time, maybe the Goddess has been also guiding you because if not, then perhaps you wouldn't have had the will to leave. You are strong and if I were in this situation, I wouldn't know what to do. But you have made through all these. I hope you're already fine right now. Did this happen a long time ago already? And how's you health right now?

And about your father, I think perhaps you just let him be the one to come to you for forgiveness. You've already done your part and it only causes you misery. I hope time will come for him and that wife to repent and ask forgiveness. Did you already forgive them, especially your father? If not, I would understand. I wouldn't forgive him that easily, if that happens to me. Nevermind your stepmom, hell might just take care of her.

And I'm glad that I'm an air witch! But that affinity I said to you about doesn't happen all the time. It's like one day I can have that strong sense of smell, and the next I wouldn't, and the next I might have it again. Does it also happen with you and you're affinities? And why does air the least common element?

    Abelink says

It's so mean to say those horrendous words! I mean, how can a decent woman say such awful words and accuse a man's daughter of being an evil? I bet she didn't even bother to know what Wicca is really about. I hope you'd be able to handle such things--and the way I see it, you're doing well because you know how everything happens for certain reasons. But if you want to talk more about it, you know who talk to *pointing at my own self while smiling :) I think you're so brave and intellegent to pass these challenges you have encountered. I am emotionally frail and I can break down easily but you seem strong to have gone through this.

And why did your father chose to leave Wicca anyways? And I also hope reconcilation will come for the both of you (and to him and your mother)--even though not now, but sooner or later.

And yes, the air does sound like a music. I can know if it might be angry or calm; and sometimes, you just can't help but close your eyes and take it all in--like you want to contain yourself with it. Wow, I never imagined this before, but now that I mentioned it, the air had always been like that to me. And about my affinity, I don't know if it's connected but I think I have a strong sense of smell (is it even an affinity of air?). Like, if someone ate corn or cotton candy earlier, I would know it because I can smell it from them (this particular incident happened to me before). I also remember scents. And I can always smell flowers in our home though everyone cannot. O_O

I'm sorry for a late reply--I just came from a vacation.

It sucks how religion or faith can divide people who loves each other :( I just hope they're still friends even though they might have differences in their faith. And I wouldn't be surprised if people would give a big interest in Wicca; I mean, it's so beautiful and at the same time, kind of deep (I'm sorry I just cannot explain it any better with these words).

I also tried to do that ritual and I think my mind was really focused on the sounds of the wind, it feels like a music in my ears at that time. So does that mean my element is the air?

And I actually think that's so great to be able to have those abilities you have. There'll always be cynics who won't believe, but you should know that it is a gift and it doesn't matter what other people might say about it as long you know you're being truthful.

I would definitely try it. Although not right now since I'm still in the city, I need to go home in my town first to have some kind of silence and peace.

I just hope you don't find it hard having those kind of abilities. I wish I also find my kind of affinity, you're lucky to have found yours. And how is that your mother is Christian; I mean, you're parents might've a lot of contradictions in faith...how is they coping up with that?

    Posted 1 year ago. ( send a note )

    Abelink says

Perhaps I should try doing the ritual, so that I may found out what my element is. Would that be all right? And about your elemental affinity, does it not creep you out sometimes? I think it's cool but it also sounded kind of eerie... And in your empathy, do you have to be near a person to know or hear what their emotions are or does distance really not a big factor? I really appreciate your answers :)
