“Actually pretty twisted stuff... and yet this book had a profound effect on my life, albeit in the bitter, depraved sense. You gotta hand it to Ted Rall: he's not bad at humor. Kinda.

The comic strips are acerbic but tongue-in-cheek, the autobiographical stuff can get a little heavy at times, but some of the topics (from "pomo" friendship to the pitfalls of the Net to the end of the world) actually make for incredibly fascinating (if not crazy) reading. Too bad some of Rall's essays would seem dated now - this book was published back in 1998.”
