I traveled to Ahmedabad in 1989 and was there for 6 weeks. I went with my husband who worked at the Mujibhai Patel Hospital in Nadiad. Dr. Mahesh Desai and his wife Nilini were our hosts. We had our then 2 -1/2 year-old daughter with us. She's not twenty and a junior in college. We have since had two more children.We long to return to India. I am also a psychotherapist. The school from at which I earned my MA in psychology was founded by Haridas Chaudhuri. Dr. Chaudhuri was a student of Sri Aurobindo. The name of my school is The California Institute of Integral Studies. We just celebrated the Institute's 40th Anniversary.I say all of this because our 6 weeks in India changed my entire life and outlook on life.As I say we long to return to India.Enough said. I hope you are having a nice day that we can be friends.Imagination is the key to freedom.The artist's job is to cultivate and nurture her or his imagination, and that of others.

An eye for an eye would make the whole world blind. Violence and hatred can and should never be the solution. I empathise with what you would have gone through as the resident of Kashmir. However, the root of Kashmir problem is not any religion/faith but sheer depravity of politics. Its high tim ethat people, irrespective of class and creed realize this and teach these politicians a lesson.As I was going thru one of the other notes on your profile, I get an inkling that you are into documentary business. Hi,Generalization based on a sample preception should never be the way to look at the world. I dont agree with you when you say "followers of Islam". The same is true with even a substantial population of Hindus. Fanaticism or intolerance is a vice, irrespective of which creed or belief one belongs to.
