He has been chosen as the perfect experimental surgery that scientist hope to improve his intelligence-a procedure that has already been highly successful when tested on Algernon(mouse). Charlie intelligence seems to improve during the experimental surgery.

    However, when Algernon treatment started to deteriorates, something happened to Charlie. Will the same fate happen to Charlie or not?”
