The daughter of Paul Zindel, Lizabeth was raised in New York City in a literary atmosphere. She attended the Dalton School and Wesleyan University, where she double majored in English and Theatre. She sang in the children's chorus at the Metropolitan Opera, appearing in productions such as La Bohème with Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti. As a college student, Lizabeth interned at Robert De Niro's Tribeca Film and Nickelodeon. She also studied abroad for a semester at London University where she interned at the Royal National Theatre during Richard Eyre's revival of Guys and Dolls. After college, Lizabeth moved to Los Angeles where she worked as a book agent's assistant at Creative Artists Agency, followed by assisting the CEO of Madonna's film production company, Maverick Entertainment, and Maverick Records, the record company founded by Madonna.
Lizabeth Zindel is a member of the Actors Studio's Playwrights and Directors Workshop. She works full-time as an author in Manhattan and loves creating stories for teens.
