Aryn Kyle graduated from Colorado State University and received an MFA in fiction from the University of Montana. In 2004 her short story “Foaling Season” now the first chapter of "The God of Animals" published by The Atlantic Monthly, won National Magazine Award for fiction. She was born in Peoria, Illinois and spent most of her childhood in Grand Junction, Colorado and now lives in Missoula, Montana.

Kyle's debut novel "The God of Animals", which was published by Scribner in March 2007 became a national bestseller and won an Alex Award, a Spur Award for Best Novel of the West and was named by Amazon.com as the Number One Fiction Debut of 2007.
