“Jane Yolen is one of the best fantasy writers I have ever read. When my book gets published (when I eventually finish it ahaha!), she's getting major credit for how inspiring and how original her literature is. Sister Light, Sister Dark was the beginning inspiration for the book I'm writing and I cannot be more grateful to her on how masterfully she writes on issues concerning female-oriented societies. But more than that, I am continually inspired by her usage of what makes up myth, legend and history and how they are all a part of narrative. I hope I can write such compelling literature!”
