A graduate of CLASS (Christian Leaders, Authors, and Speakers Services) and a member of AWSA (Advanced Writers and Speakers Association), Judy has been speaking for seminars, churches, schools, civic, and business groups since 1995.

Judy desires to sow seeds of God’s grace into hungry hearts. She wants to stir souls—inspiring both the young and the not-so-young to rekindle those dreams that may have disappeared along life’s journey through disappointment or despair. As founder and president of Inspiration Etc., her mission statement best describes her love of life as she “encourages lives of purpose, passion, and excellence.”

Judy's book What Husbands Need: Reaching His Heart and Reclaiming His Passion is a reminder to turn our hearts back toward home and to look upon our greatest treasure, our husbands, with fresh and tender eyes. We do not have to quit our jobs, abandon our children, and sever all ties within the community to have a mutually rewarding marriage. But we must tighten our focus to love our husbands the way God has called us to love them.

Florida Governor wonders, “What DO Husbands Need?”

At a private reception following the First Annual Policy Awards dinner for the Florida Family Policy Council, Kregel author Judy Carden presented a copy of her new book, What Husbands Need: Reaching His Heart and Reclaiming His Passion, to Governor Jeb Bush. The event was held on Friday, May 19, with Governor Bush as the keynote speaker. Carden, along with her husband, was in attendance at the gala, which was attended by approximately 1,000 supporters and Florida state legislators.

During a post-event press gathering, Governor Bush stated that he is now making a move toward supporting the Florida constitutional amendment to define marriage as between a man and a woman.

Upon receiving his copy of What Husbands Need, Governor Bush commented that it looked “provocative” and that he would read it that very night!

For many women, marriage is built up as a fairy tale, but when the fires of romance fade and life becomes ordinary, reality and disappointment set in. What Husbands Need offers the opportunity to start fresh and write the rest of your love story. As she walks readers through God’s intent for marriage, Judy Carden gives groundbreaking advice on how woman can embrace their purpose and become the wives God created them to be.
