Isaac Babel, Russian Journalist, Playwriter and Novelist, was born in Odessa in the last years of 19th century.
He is well-known for his reports on Russian civil war and his short stories and novels about ordinary people -especialy Jews- in Russia and particularly in Odessa, his home town. He was adored by great writers from all over the world because of his talent in writing. Finally he had been arrested in Stalin's era and died (or been killed) because of his works and writings.
