• Adriana is my favourite author. As most of you know she was raised in the small mining town of Big Stone Gap in southwest Virginia. Actually, she chose her hometown for the setting and title of her first novel, ''Big Stone Gap''. She is also known as the international bestselling author of The Queen of the Big Time, Big Cherry Holler, Milk Glass Moon, and Lucia, Lucia.

  After Adriana graduated from Saint Mary's College in South Bend, Indiana, she moved to New York to become a playwright and was a writer/producer on "THE COSBY SHOW" and "A DIFFERENT WORLD", just to name two. She is an award-winning playwright, television writer and documentary filmmaker.

  Adriana is VERY dedicated to her readers and often spends four or five nights a week speaking to book clubs via telephone. She wants her readers to be happy and to feel appreciated and that we are, at least speaking for myself.

  She is married to Tim Stephenson, the Emmy Award-Winning lighting designer of the "Late Show With David Letterman". They live in Greenwich Village with their daughter, Lucia.
