After publishing ten mysteries under her real name, which is Kathy Hogan Trocheck, she started to write a completely new kind of story, under the name Mary Kay Andrews. Under Trocheck she wrote the Callahan Garrity series, very differenct from her current work. The pseudonym is a combination of her children's names.
Mary Kay Andrews is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida. She's married to her high school sweetheart, Tom. They live in a restored 1926 Craftsman bungalow in Atlanta, GA. Mary Kay is a "junker" who loves thrift stores, flea markets and other sources of antiques and old items waiting to be reclaimed.
She has a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Georgia. Her mysteries have been nominated for the Edgar, Anthony, Agatha and Macavity Awards.
The first mystery in her series is Savanah Blues followed by Little bitty Lies, Hissie Fit, Blue Christmas, Savannah Breeze, and Deep Dish. (7/08)
