“No one can create better characters than SK. He's especially great at seeing into the mind of a child. "Just After Sunset" was a terrific collection of stories; I particularly enjoyed "Willa." Duma Key was absolutely terrific. Needless to say, I'll be running out to buy Under the Dome later this week. One of the most under-recognized literary talents writing fiction today.”
“Your books are so different. Each one really quite scary. I have reviewed parnormal, fantasy , horror, romance, comedy and more. I have even review Science Fiction but nothing quite as scary as your books. You get the award for being the king of horror. Would love to have the honor of reviewing one of your books. fran”
“When anybody asks me who my favourite author is i usually have to think about it, answer is usually someone am reading or an author i recently discovered. If anyone asks me who is the best author, thats easy "the King ofcourse and you can take that to the bank" He is trully a wordslinger! does things to the reader that you don't know whether you wanna worship him or shoot him. Personally, i think in the Dark Tower he totally outdid himself, bloody fucking fantastic, the him being a character too (oops hope i didnt spoil) was downright genius. King is the King!!”
“Thank you.”
“hi King,One of my favourite book is SALEM`S LOT, but all your books are very good. you are the best....”
“Dear Mr. Stephen King,Your books are amazing, i haven't read all of them (yet) but i'm working on it but so far i haven't found one that didn't keep me on the edge of my seat. I just recently finished The Mist and i enjoyed but at the same time i almost threw it across the room, it really frustrated me that the reader never found out what caused all the creatures to come with the mist or what happened to all the characters. At the same time i guess that is a good thing because it lets your imagination go wild thinking of all the possible outcomes. I hope that one day i too will be able to send shivers down a persons mind with the written word!Sincerely Asia M.”
“hi stephen, ou mr king, i liked alot of your books that were made into movies misery, it, the stand, neefful things”
“I have read many of Stephen King's books and the mastery of getting his characters so well rounded is great. I could almost go into a store and see a character out of King's book and would actually recognize them based on the description of personality and physical appearence. King unfolds a story very suspenceful and is always making you think as you read. Plus I do not forget the story or the characters from his books. Their like aunts, uncles and cousins, they won't leave your head.”
“Hey, what can I say; I'm a forever fan. Good, bad, or indifferent, King rocks as an author. And, like everything, sometimes he misses but he hits more often. His book, On Writing, has been both an embarrassment and an inspiration to me. I've gone over my earlier works and shudder at my mistakes, but I'm learning. And, for that, thank you, Mr. King!”
“Hello StephenI have written four books both fiction and non-fiction. I have submitted two books for publication and have had both accepted by The American Book Publishing Company. My second book titled "The Past & Future King" is a Lord of the Rings style tale with lots of mythical creatures such as orcs, elves, dwarves, fairies, demons, trolls, etc. It is the first of a trilogy (naturally). It will be released for publication this November. I would like to send you a review copy. For more information about me and the articles and books I have written, please see my web site at www.warrenmueller.comFurther information on the "Past & Future King" follows:If You Liked The Lord Of The Rings, You’ll Love This Journey Into A World of Elves, Orcs, Wizards, Trolls & FairiesTitle: The Past and Future KingAuthor: Warren M. Mueller. It will be released by The American Book Publishing Company in November 2009.Enter a world where people do not believe in fantasy but where each night their spirits travel to a parallel earth shifted in time and inhabited by elves, trolls, fairies and other mythical creatures. Just like dreams, these people have little or fuzzy memories of their nightly travels in the realm of fantasy. However, one summer night something strange happened that changed all this and signaled the merger of the world of fantasy and reality. The Past And Future King is about an ordinary lad named Tom who has an unusual love of reading. He befriends an old scribe named Willet who introduces him to fantasy books which are generally frowned upon in Tom’s village. Soon the images in these fantasy books begin to captivate Tom until he is directed by Willet to visit a lake near his village where Tom sees himself drown in a recurring dream. Tom is threatened by wolves and decides to jump into this lake where he is drawn into a vortex and enters a parallel earth where dreams become reality. In this world, Tom is helped by elves and he is given a magical stone to help him fulfill ancient prophesies about becoming a Son of Light. According to these prophesies, the Sons of Light herald the merger of the parallel earths to form one new one in which The Past And Future King will return and evil will be vanquished forever. The Past And Future King is Warren’s second published book by the American Book Publishing Company. Warren is a Christian author of fiction and non-fictional articles and books. Warren’s first published book, Truth Seeker: Straight Talk From The Bible, is a concise summary of what the Bible says about over thirty practical living and theological subjects with lots of Bible quotes. His articles are featured on the New York Times About Christianity and Christian Pulse web sites. “Hello Stephen,I am a new author. My book is called, "MY MIRACLE." It is about before, during, after, and up to this point in my life since I had a traumatic brain injury 18 yrs ago. Since that point its has been a long road, learning life over again. I was wondering if you would like to read my book and if you like it could you tell others about it. I would very much like to hear from you. Please take care and have a wonderful day.Rodney”
“Stephen King is great!”
“I recently read an article in which the so-called King of Horror comments on Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series. He said that, unlike J. K. Rowling, "she can't write worth a darn."I would say that this arrogant, self-righteous ass should keep his overblown opinions to himself. It is true that she is a new and relatively inexperienced author and it is fair to say to say that her writing style is simple. However, she is very easy to read. I read the Twilight series in a week even though 40 year old men was obviously not her target demographic. To say that it held my attention is an understatement.Conversely, I have tried to read many of King's books (Firestarter, Christine, Needful Things, Rose Madder, The Stand, The Green Mile, Misery, It, The Gunslinger, The Talisman, and Carrier) and The Stand is the only one I have ever gotten all the way through.Obviously, someone thinks Meyer's writing is "worth a darn." She is published, she is wildly popular, and her first book was turned into a movie three years after its original publication, with locked in deals for the movie adaptations of the remaining books in the series (New moon is in pre-production right now). This record is at least as good as King's own. Carrie, his first book, was published in 1973 and turned into a movie in 1976.Having the discipline and dedication to finish a book and then get it published is a major accomplishment no matter who you are. Let alone creating something as universally popular as the Twilight series.Whether you like her writing or not, her efforts as an author should be encouraged by all, including her peers, and not destructively critisized by people like Stephen King: pompous pricks who have forgotten where they came from.”
“I re-discovered Mr. King when I read Lisey's Story a few years ago. I had been a big fan during his Salem's Lot, Shining period. But when Cujo killed everyone in the book I was so darned angry I put King on my DO NOT READ list. But I'm back as a fan. I really enjoyed Lisey's Story and couldn't put Duma Key down. Not long ago I watched his mini-series Storm of the Century on DVD into the wee hours of the morning. Scariest movie I've watched in a long time. WOW! And now I'm even thinking of going back and re-reading Cujo.”
“I agree with Wendy By. King's book On Writing is great. It's funny, endearing, blunt and genuine. Its a must read for lovers of the craft of writing, lovers of King's work and anyone else who just enjoys good books!”
