Gopa Majumdar has been translating Bengali fiction into English for over a decade. She is the translator of Taslima Nasrin's My Girlhood: An Autobiography (Kali for Women, 2001). She has also translated the works of several well-known writers like Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay, Ashapurna Devi, Nabaneeta Dev Sen and Satyajit Ray
