Richard Castle- wealthy, handsome, clever. He is what every eligible batchelorette wants. Unfortunately, he's committed to his work, solving crimes with his partner, Detective Kate Beckett. They make quite the team, maybe something more. Mr Castle brings a new angle to the mix. Since he isn't technically a cop and only barely an adult, there are several things he can get away with. For instance, calling to set up a date with a prostitute who is also a suspect. Or using his fame to get information that the police have to use piles of paperwork and protocol to get. Proper channels would have taken several days and he's not near that patient.

Richard Castle shares his New York apartment with his lovely daughter, Alexis, and his mother, stage actress Martha Rogers. Between all of them, his teenaged daughter is the most responsible.
