Candace R. Benefiel is associate professor and humanities librarian in the Texas A&M University Libraries, College Station, TX. She has been writing and publishing on vampire literature for 15 years in such journals as the Wilson Library Bulletin and the Journal of Popular Culture. Her other published works include The Image and Role of the Librarian.
