Okay, Shelfari said I needed to "add facts to my books."
Here are a few:
The original title of Where I Want to Be was "Jane and Lily" and I wrote it in Italy in 2003 during the heat wave that killed 30,000 people. It was very hot, and I think that very strange mood in Europe contributed to the mood of the book.
My first book, Rainy Season, was based on my own real-life childhood as a sometime Army brat.
My vampire series Vampire Island, the kids' names Lexington, Hudson, and Madison are avenues in NYC.
The Julian Game, about cyberbullying, has a website that has nothing do with the book-- check out the random here www.thejuliangame.com
Picture the Dead took nearly seven years for Lisa Brown and me to complete.
