Gaelen Foley is an American writer of romance novels. She holds a B.A. in English literature with a minor in philosophy from the State University of New York, College at Fredonia, New York. After college Foley continued to write in her free time while waitressing to earn money. In that time she wrote four manuscripts before her fifth one was picked up by the publishing house, Bertelsmann. In 1998 her first novel The Pirate Prince was published and since has penned 11 bestselling historical novels.
