Frederick Phillips Brooks, is a Computer Scientist and Software Engineer. He is known for writing 'The Mythical Man-Month' in 1975. The book is still known as a classic book on Software Engineering. The book is based on his observations during his OS/360 development project at IBM.

Brooks has received many awards including the highest award in the Computer Science, the Turing Award in 1999.
