Eric was born in the northwest Louisiana hill town of Vivian, about a mile from fabled Black Bayou, and not far from Caddo Lake, the location for his first novel Ghost of a Chance. He has degrees in geology from NLU and the University of Arkansas and discovered his love for writing during the oil bust of the eighties. He now lives in Edmond, Oklahoma with wife Marilyn and step-daughter Kate, who helped him edit Lost on Route 66. He has three dogs and three cats.
