Dana Michelle Burnett spent most of her life writing short stories and sharing them with family and friends. She was fresh out of high school when she earned a spot as a guest columnist for her local newspaper The Tribune. In the years that followed, her work was published in numerous commercial and literay magazines including Just Labs, Mindprints: A Literary Journal, Foliate Oak, and many more. Her short story John Lennon and the Chicken Holocaust was included in The Best of Foliate Oak 2006.
She left the writing world behind to take over the family home decor business. Then in 2010, after the death of her father and husband, Dana Michelle Burnett got back in touch with her literary roots. First, Home Decorating for the Real World was published, followed a few months later by Ghost Country. Dana Michelle Burnett is now working on a romance that should be released summer 2011.
