I have just discovered Simon Mawer's books. The first one "Swimming to Ithaca" I found on the "on approval" shelf in my local libary. The story is set in Cyprus, where I have spent two months, so was able to visualise the locations used. Next I read "The Glass Room" which I found fascinating and atmospheric. Have just completed "The Fall" which I enjoyed very much. Am now beginning "The Gospel of Judas". These four books are very different in content and I plan to read the rest of S.Mawer's work. I like his style and the interplay of personal relationships.
