PR9.NET May 06, 2008 - Washington, DC - BAP Author Ananda Kiamsha Madelyn Leeke launched BAP Living, a social networking site, and BAP Living Radio, a monthly Internet radio show, to honor women who share the life experiences of the main character in her debut novel, Love's Troubadours - Karma: Book One on May 5, 2008. These Internet media projects celebrate and connect women of African descent who self-identify as Black American Princesses (BAPs) and Educated Black Women (EBW). They also offer BAPs and EBW an opportunity to build an online community that functions as sacred space where they can tell their stories, affirm each other, dream out loud, laugh, learn, and discuss issues of concern. The BAP Living social networking site is a member of Ning.com and located at http://baplivingforbapsandebw.ning.com. BAP Living is a trademark of Kiamsha.com, LLC.

BAP Living Radio's first show will air on June 1 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. EST at www.talkshoe.com/tc/18598. The June 1st program theme is "Summer Savoir Faire for Your Finances, Fashion, Food, and Feelings." A guest panel featuring the following women will share their expertise on these topics:

Visit www.talkshoe.com/tc/18598 to listen to the live broadcast.

BAP Living Radio will feature programs that offer BAPs and EBW information about and a platform to discuss topics relevant to their lives. Topics of discussion will include self-love, self-care, spirituality, health, finances, beauty, fashion, art, music, culture, films, travel adventures, fun events and activities, personal hobbies, books, magazines, education, community service, politics and news, careers, creativity, fitness, feminism, womanism, food, lifestyle, sexuality, relationships, family, green living, home decor, and entrepreneuralism.

Leeke created BAP Living and BAP Living Radio in response to positive feedback from readers of her debut novel, Love's Troubadours - Karma: Book One (www.lovestroubadours.com). Love's Troubadours - Karma: Book One tells the story of Karma Francois, a thirtysomething California-born BoHo BAP (Bohemian Black American Princess) with Louisiana roots and urban debutante flair. The book shows how a woman uses therapy, yoga, meditation, art, music, poetry, and support from family and friends to confront the effects of her poor life choices and embrace a spiritual journey of healing and love. The book was published by iUniverse, Inc. and is available on www.amazon.com.

The novel was written to encourage self-discovery and healing, celebrate poetry and jazz, cultivate financial literacy, illustrate the diversity of loving relationships (straight, lesbian, and gay), emphasize the importance of yoga and meditation practice, and develop HIV/AIDS awareness. It was also written to celebrate Black history, art, culture, and music; Washington, DC neighborhoods such as U Street, Shaw, Adams Morgan and Dupont Circle; and the cultural connections that African Americans share with Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, and Latin America.
