Elaine di Rollo was born in Ormskirk, Lancashire and now lives in Scotland, where she is a lecturer at Edinburgh Napier University. She has a PhD in the social history of medicine from Edinburgh University. The Peachgrowers Almanac is her first novel. The Peachgrowers' Almanac was shortlisted for the Saltire First Novel Award, the Guildford Literary Festival First Novel Award and the Scottish Arts Council First Novel Award.
