Elizabeth writes the Memphis Barbeque series as Riley Adams.
Elizabeth Spann Craig grew up in Anderson, SC, where she spent most of her childhood in the county library, staggering out with books by the armful and writing her own stories at home.
Elizabeth attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC, and spent her junior year studying abroad in London. There she wrote articles for Nine to Five magazine.
After graduation and marriage, she moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where she wrote, modeled and sold ads for a local arts magazine.
Elizabeth is active in the online writing community. She shares writing-related links on Twitter and posts on craft and the publishing industry on her blog, Mystery Writing is Murder. She and Mike Fleming of Hiveword also manage the Writer’s Knowledge Base–a free search engine to help writers find resources.
As the mother of two, Elizabeth writes on the run as she juggles volunteering, referees play dates, drives carpools, and is dragged along as a hostage/chaperone on field trips.
