A Princeton graduate and Northeasterner by origin, Dunne met and married author Joan Didion and together the pair traipsed back and forth across the country between New York and Los Angeles. Dunne became enamored of LA and Hollywood and wrote much about the region and for production while continuing his contributions to national/international publications like The New York Review of Books. Dunne died in 2003
