There is definitely more than one author of this name. The details give by me are to be connected with the author of the books:
- Mine Boy
- The Path of Thunder
- A Night of Their Own
- A Wreath for UdomoHis literary influences are Vladimir Nabokov, Graham Greene and Ross Macdonald. Stephen King has referred to him as "my favorite American suspense novelist".<citation needed>
