Sherman Alexie is an award-winng author and poet, who writes primarily about life on a reservation. His childhood experiences on the Spokane Indian Reservation in Wellpinit, WA provide the inspiration for his work.
In addition to writing, Alexie performs stand-up comedy, having made his debut performance at the Foolproof Northwest Comedy Festival in Seattle, WA, in April 1999.
