David Almond has written many novels - the first novel he wrote is called 'Skellig'. His books have been bestsellers in all part of the world, and he seen as one of the most exciting children's autors by a wide range of people. Currently, David Almond lives with his family in Northumberland.

Kit's Wilderness: Smarties Award Silver Medal, Highly Commended for the Carnegie Medal and Shortlisted for the Guardian Award.

Clay: Shortlisted for both the Costa Children's Book Award and the Caregie Medal.
