I have TWO that are just released (kinda like giving birth to twins...what fun!)
STREAMS OF BABEL, released by HMH in May, has already been named a Junior Library Guild Premiere Selection and is nominated to BBYA (send good alohas pls! This book took 5 years...I fried my brains 2xs and wrote the two preceding while writing this...thank you!!)
HOMESCHOOLING ABBEY: YOUR BASIC MOM TRIES HOME EDUCATION & TELLS ALL is my first breakout from YA and was a blast to write!! Abbey and I have been homeschooling for five years and we wanted to share our thoughts. I did not have any religious belief that inclined us to homeschool, nor did I think I would be a better teacher than what lay up the street. It happened haphazzardly, but now I feel that if I could get 5,000 American families to give up their fears and try this, I would be happy to have written this memoir.
If you have a friend who has shed a tear about a child's school performance and feels trapped or ashamed, pass on the info of this book! It might be the answer for them!!
